Change hopelessness to happiness

I just wanted to take a few moments to talk about my friend Megan. She has a website and a squidoo all about self help for growth. She has a wonderful approach to life and passes this on in her work. I promised Megan I would talk about her site here and I always keep my promises. I find her sites so helpful and I really hope you do a s well.

Like me she has/is going through health issues which have affected and really changed the way she and I think about life. I think health issues can do that to a person. Life is simply too short for petty grievances and squabbles. We all have a right to be here, a purpose to be here and we deserve to be happy. Some people go through health issues and just want to help others in any way they can. Some people sadly become downtrodden by ill health , introverted, sad, or hostile. Others take the path Megan has and try to make things better . She is a free giving and loving spirit.

With my work here I pass on what I can and I hope you gain something from it. I started this to help others to not have to go through what I did. We are all individual. I have met some wonderful dedicated people like Megan through doing this for which I am very grateful. I feel good when I am told some piece of information or suggestion has made a difference or helped someone who is in pain or fearful in some way. You have no idea how much it means to me...

Very occasionally in my life and even while trying to help people with back pain, people have been unkind to me. I have never understood that when I am trying to be helpful. I do know when fear and pain and hopelessness come into our lives it is dreadful. I do know that sadly not everything I suggest will help. Megan has helped me to see through that to the peaceful side. She knows how much I care...Until she reads this she doesn't even know she has helped me like that.

The number one responsibility we all have is to be kind and gentle on ourselves and at least respectful to others. I do believe that most people here are just doing their best to get along, that is my understanding , to live life honest and true to ourselves. We are all here having this experience of life and doing our best-helping each other along.

Megan's sites are warm compassionate and true. She wants to help people and this shines through. Megan and I both believe that attitude and love and sharing are paramount in this world. She is a lovely spirit and I am very happy to send you to her sites as I know you will gain so much from your visit there.

Megan believes that many of us have just become tainted by Life and our experiences over time, and we weary of life, sometimes feel down, alone, with no sight of hope. She also believes wholeheartedly that we can change this, and we can change it while being kind and gentle on ourselves.

Particularly if you are coping with a health issue, it requires patience and it requires time and some effort too but with belief and faith that it can happen it can be done. As I have said before everyone coping with back pain and sciatica is courageous and brave.

Hi Yasmine

you are such a beautiful and giving spirit and I am so proud to call you my friend :-)

Thank you so much for writing this article about my sites - it has really inspired me to keep going, knowing that it is possible to help. Knowing that I have helped just one person, just a little, is such a wonderful feeling.

So, I will continue to write on my site, to help others get through difficult times, as I share my own experiences too! Its all about ongoing learning. Life is the journey.

And - my ol' saying! - Always be kind and gentle to yourself.

Thank you Jasmine - you too helped me recently during a particularly bad time in my illness.

I wrote about this a little at my Blog if you would like to have a look. Just an introduction to 'pain' and to your sites. I hope to write in more detail about your sites soon, as they are truly wonderful and of such value to people during difficult times.

You are a kindred spirit, a truly giving person!

Thank you Jasmine :-)

Kind Regards and Love
Megan
